Focal Technologies, a part of Moog
Components Group, has supplied
technology products and services to the
offshore petroleum, oceanographic,
seismic and maritime defense industries
for more than 20 years. Operating from a
50,000 sq. ft. facility located in
Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Focal
specializes in the design, production
and installation of custom electrical
slip rings, fiber optic rotary joints,
swivels and multiplexer solutions for
the harshest offshore environments.
Besides state-of-the-art production
equipment and processes, the plant
features a range of specialized
automatic testing equipment. This
includes facilities for testing pressure
tolerant multiplexers and a test rig
that is capable of applying up to 30,000
psi and 300 degrees celsius.
